Happy New Year! I wish you and your family a blessed 2018.
Abigail here from Cuddles and Crumbs, I am back with a fun and easy craft tutorial that you can do with your kids. This month’s theme is “HOPE” which is perfect to start our year.
My kids and I thought that this fairy lantern will be this month’s craft because it will remind children to say their hopes and dreams to the fairies watching over them.
PPS Products I used for this project are:
Rajni Chawla Paperlicious Crystal Clear Transparent Glitter
Rajni Chawla Paperlicious Frosting Powder
Prima Rose Quartz Flowers – Rosa Verona 8/Pkg
Craft Medley Natural Hemp Cord
Plaid® Mod Podge® Matte 8 oz
Thin Tissue Paper
Battery powered tea light’s or led string lights
Clear glass bottle or glass jam jars with lids
We made use of empty Nutella jar for this project, you can use any glass bottle with lid you can find around the house.
Apply a layer of Mod Podge on the outside of a clean glass jar then carefully place a layer of tissue. Continue applying glue and adding tissue until the jar is fully covered. Let it dry.
Glue your fairy cut out inside the jar. Choose the side which has a smoother tissue finish. I made use of fairy silhouette found online.
Apply glue on the top and bottom layer of the jar then sprinkle Paperlicious Crystal Clear Transparent Glitter and Frosting Powder.
Wrap Hemp Cord around the neck of the jar, tie in a bow. Add Prima Rose Quartz flowers and leaves to complete the outer design.
Add battery operated tea lights or a string of fairy lights inside the jar.
Have fun making Fairy Lantern with your kids. Should you have any questions, leave them in the comments below and I will try my best to answer.
